John Hughes is a dedicated and passionate individual with a heart for service and a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of others.  Born into an Air Force family, John had the opportunity to experience different cultures and communities while growing up, living in California, Texas, Alaska, Washington and now Oregon, just a few miles away from Washington.

John’s wide range of hobbies and interests, which his wife affectionately refers to as “way to many,” has proven to be an asset in his role as Men’s Ministry leader.  These hobbies allow him to offer a variety of activities that help men bond and feel comfortable enough to share their struggles.  John believes that engaging in activities together provides a platform discussions and mental health support.

Throughout his journey, John acknowledges the unwavering support of his wife of over 30 years.  Her love language of quality time and her sacrifice have played a significant role in his ministry.  John humbly recognizes that any good in him is a reflection of what God can do through him and believes that all glory belongs to God alone.
