Breakout Sessions

Discovering God's Dream for You

Heather Quintana

This breakout presentation is the Young Women Breakout III on Sunday morning.

Get Your Hopes Up!

Heather Quintana

There’s a God-given dream in your heart. Whatever it is, if you’ve waited a long

time and can’t see how it could ever happen, you may be tempted to give up hope.

But the Bible says just the opposite: you were made to carry hope in your heart.

Discover how looking at things from God’s perspective will transform your life and

reignite your heart’s desire.

5 Surprising Ways to Feel More Hopeful:

Step Boldly into the Life God Has for You

Heather Quintana

In the Old Testament, the judge and leader Deborah reveals how to be victorious in

the battles of life. Drawing from Deborah’s life story, you’ll discover how to build

your confidence in God, release your worries and fears, and cheer for God as He

fights your battles.

More Faith, Less Fear: How a Believing Woman Can Face Anything

Heather Quintana

The story of Esther almost sounds like a fairytale: a powerful king, lavish parties,

beautiful women, intrigue, villains, and heroes. But, unlike a fairytale, this story

isn’t about a prince on a white horse. This is the story of a woman who follows God

with grit and grace — and inspires us to do the same.

Go Back and Look Again: What to Do When It Seems Your Prayers Haven’t Been Answered

Heather Quintana

In a time of severe drought, Elijah could already hear the sound of a heavy rain on

the way. He believed God would do what He said He would do, even when there

was no evidence it was going to happen. Take a closer look at the three things

Elijah did while he was waiting in faith for God to answer his prayers.

Empowering Women with Emotional Intelligence

Linda Baker

You will receive practical tools, biblical wisdom, and a supportive community to grow in emotional intelligence, strengthen your faith, and step into the fullness of God’s calling for your life. Get ready to rise, uplift others, and live with purpose and peace!

Hearing God Part 1: The Foundation

Michele Davis & Sylvia Gobel

Many Christians wish for a deeper experience in their relationship with God. Two-way communication is a huge part of all relationships. Most of us have learned to talk to God, but listening to his voice is more of a challenge. Let’s dive into this subject together to learn about some of the ways God speaks to us and how we can better hear his voice. Then let’s apply what we learn to the practical application of turning fear into trust.

Hearing God Part 2: The Practice

Michele Davis & Sylvia Gobel

With what we learned in session 1, let’s practice together in some actual exercises of putting ourselves into a posture of listening to God with our intuitive mind. We will check ourselves by seeing if what we experience is within the bounds of Scriptural principles and then get feedback from our community. God doesn’t use formulas, so come with a sense of adventure!

This One Life

Rebekah Davis

“Through many years of up and down health battles, I have been able to feel gratitude for this One Beautiful Life that God has given me. It is not always easy but changing your mindset can help you thrive. And it also reminds you that God is always on your side.”

This breakout session will be about asking these questions.

1. What makes you happy?

2. How will you help another?

3. What do you love most about being alive?

And

4. What are you grateful for?”

Grow Your Own Food — You CAN Do It!

Linda Eastman

Gardening is not just a hobby but a valuable life skill that can be developed. The Spirit of Prophecy encourages us to learn to grow our own food. Linda will be sharing ideas on how to successfully grow things in our cold northern climate as well as ways to make your own fertilizers and how to grow food even if you don’t own any land.

Nourishing the Soul

Stephanie Gladding

In today’s fast-paced and often overwhelming world, stress has become a constant companion for many. Yet, Scripture offers a profound and frequently overlooked remedy: the pursuit of beauty. In our time together, we will examine how our bodies are designed to manage and experience stress, the way attachment, community, and care mitigate the negative responses, and how when we intentionally engage with beauty—whether in nature, art, worship, or daily acts of care—we align our hearts with God’s character, find rest for our souls, and cultivate a sense of peace that counters the weight of stress.

Living in God’s Design for Wholeness

Jennifer Ish

Join Jennifer Ish for an inspiring look at how faith, science, and practical lifestyle choices come together to support whole-person wellness. From nourishing foods and natural remedies to understanding women’s changing health needs and creating balance in a screen-saturated world, these sessions will equip you with Christ-centered tools to strengthen body, mind, and spirit for the journey ahead.

Your Power of Choice

Velvet Lang

Life is full of choices – and choices have the power to shape your future. Even small choices today can lead to life changing results tomorrow. Let’s discover in God’s Word our power of choice and a game plan that can work.  This presentation is especially for young women.

Your Identity in Christ

Velvet Lang

Who am I? Where do I fit in? What defines me? The world offers confusing and ever-changing answers. Come discover important clues in God’s Word to help navigate to your true identity and purpose in life. This presentation is especially for young women.

Craft Sessions

Rag Wreath Class

Melissa Lister

This craft is called a rag wreath, a cozy, handmade decoration that blends rustic charm with creative reuse. Rag wreaths are made by tying strips of fabric onto a wire wreath form until it’s full and fluffy. The fabrics are often leftover scraps, old clothing, or quilting remnants, which makes each wreath unique. The strips can be cotton, linen, burlap, or flannel, and can be cut or torn for a frayed, textured look. They can be customized for any season or style.

Hydrotherapy

Swany Dittman

To be announced.

Fireside Fun in the Café

Cheryl Wallace

Relax and rekindle old friendships or start new ones as you enjoy fireside conversations with a bowl of popcorn in the main dining room. There will be hot drinks available and table games – something for everyone!

Poolside

Enjoy a relaxing swim in the heated pool or soak in the hot tub outside under the stars!

Ping-Pong

Play ping-pong with friends.

Through her work as the clinical director of the wellness center and a counselor, she focuses on modalities of counseling that promote the healing of the whole person, specifically through the lenses of attachment, object relations, and neurobiology. Stephanie and her husband, Kyle, a math teacher, have enjoyed working together at Upper Columbia Academy for 15 years, where their lives, passions, and hobbies have intertwined and become an integral part of their mission.
