For more than 100 years, Cascade Christian Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist day school in Wenatchee, has been known for its amazing staff of kind and caring teachers. Together, through demonstrating God’s love and a dedication to learning in the classroom, teachers are able to guide their students into great educational achievements. Aspiring teachers have taken note of this loving environment that CCA’s staff creates and are ready to join the team this fall!

Eliana Kearns recently graduated with her degree in secondary education, along with a minor in both Spanish and music, and will be taking over the position of school chaplain as well as teaching high school Bible and Spanish. Kearns enjoys fun activities such as horseback riding and photography. When asked what inspired her to become a teacher, she stated, “My dream to be a teacher is deeply rooted in a desire to aim students heavenward and instill in them a love for languages and learning.” She is going to be a great addition to the CCA team.

Marianna Qualie will be coming in to take over as CCA’s new K-12 Athletic Director. She has a masters degree in science of recreation and sport sciences, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in religion and a math minor. She has a passion for coaching and is excited about the opportunity to join the CCA team and encourage students in their faith, saying, “I believe there is no greater mission than to work with young people as they develop their walk in Christ.” CCA is very proud to have her join their family of staff.

Rex Hossler loves working with multiple levels of students and will be CCA’s new teaacher for seventh grade homeroom, middle school science, and ninth grade technology. Hossler has had over 17 years of Adventist education, earning him a bachelor of science degree in biology and a chemistry minor. His hobbies include being outdoors, reading and traveling. He is excited to help lead CCA students even closer to Christ alongside the rest of the amazing staff.

With such great new teachers starting this fall, this new school year is guaranteed to be one for the books. All the teachers and staff at CCA are excited for the students to return and hear all about how God has blessed their summers.
