Adventist Education Grows Minds and Saves Lives
When you come into contact with a product of Adventist schools you may not immediately hear statistics about one of the largest parochial school systems in the world or about how one could attend Adventist schools from primary to post-graduate studies. What you would likely hear are stories of a caring teacher, lifelong friend, or life shaping experience.
“Adventist teachers saved my life!” says Mark Witas, principal of Cascade Christian Academy in Wenatchee, Washington. Witas tells a riveting story of his childhood and rescue by committed Adventist educators at various education rallies held throughout Upper Columbia Conference.
Principal Witas believes Adventist education has to do with kingdom values. "When you provide an Adventist education for your child, you provide an extended family," he says.
Many parents and students throughout the Upper Columbia Conference school system would say this and more.
