New Prayer Focus in 2025

Prayer Ministries invites and challenges every member in UCC to participate in a growing experience with Jesus called, "Grounded and Growing Vertically."  We will spend the first 18 days of the year praying.  February 1-13 we will be reading through Steps to Christ & then the book -- one chapter each evening. A group is also going through the book, Prayer, weekly on Friday nights, through the rest of year.

Both books are by Ellen G. White and will fill you with amazing ideas and quotes on prayer and growth throughout the year. Along with these book challenges, we invite you to pray for Pentecost 2025 (see below). We will keep this list in our current prayer focus on a weekly basis! Prayer Blanket Ministry

This ministry operated by UCC Prayer Ministries, invites church and prayer groups to create prayer blankets to give to people for whom you are praying. UCC Prayer Ministries is accepting applications for churches to receive funds to begin this ministry. There is one more equipment package available for one more church.

Praying Wednesday to Wednesday

Praying Together, May 7, 2025 

• Pray for all members and leaders of the following churches: Walla Walla Northside, Wapato Spanish Adventist, and all of the members of the Conference Church. Pray that each person will hear God's voice in their life every day. 
• Pray for the towns in Shoshone County, Idaho, that each leader – mayor, police chief, sheriff, fire chief, council member – will listen to God's wisdom in their life and for their town. Pray for Kellogg, Pinehurst, Osburn, Wallace, Smelterville, Mullan, and Wardner. 
• Pray for each high school and college student graduating that God will show them their path in life. 
• Pray for the following Prayer Coordinators: Marcine Duim, Granger; Allyson Williams, Granger; Ruth Mathison, Grandview; and Kim Heck, Farmington. And pray for prayer leaders for Grand Coulee, Good News Fellowship, Good Neighbor Company, Goldendale Adventist Church and Fairfield Adventist Church. God has called each to be a house of prayer. 
• Pray for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon our clergy during the month of may. We pray for this with Columbia Union through Pentecost 2025. 
• Pray for the one-day prayer retreat, "Clarion Call to Prayer: For Such a Time as This." That God will abundantly bless each prayer leader who comes. 
• Pray for each administrator, director, pastor, teacher, committee member, and chair person in Upper Columbia Conference. That each will allow Jesus to be their boss. 
• Pray for the Pathfinder Fair, that each Pathfinder and leader will develop a closer relationship with Jesus.

Praying Together, April 30, 2025 

• Pray for Royal City Spanish Adventist Church and each member and leader there! 
• Pray also for Sunnyside, Touchet, and Umapine Adventist churches that each leader and member will be filled with God's Holy Spirit! 
• Pray for our Prayer Ministry coordinators in each church in Upper Columbia Conference including: Cathy Bailey, Stef Brimacomb, Karen Shawe and Wes Sitala from Grangeville. 
• Pray this promise for your life: "Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer" Romans 12:12. 
• Pentecost 2025: Pray for God's Power and Holy Spirit to pour out upon all who believe in Jesus. We pray with Mid-America Union and Columbia Union for your power to be revealed daily. 
• Pray for the Women's Retreat on May 3 that God will give a powerful message to each women who comes. 
• Pray for the Prayer Ministry one-day retreat May 17 that God's Holy Spirit will be powerful at this: "Clarion Call to Prayer: For Such a Time as This." 
• Pray for the Pathfinder Fair coming up in May that each Pathfinder and staff will have a wonderful, safe, and spiritual time. 
• Pray for David Jamieson, Allee Currier, and all directors, pastors, teachers and workers in UCC that God will renew them each day and give them wisdom and strength.
