New Prayer Focus Coming in 2025

Prayer Ministries invites and challenges every member in UCC to participate in a growing experience with Jesus called, "Grounded and Growing Vertically."  We will spend the first 14 days of the year reading through Steps to Christ & then the book, Prayer, weekly through the rest of year. Both books are by Ellen G. White and will fill you with amazing ideas on prayer and growth throughout the year. Along with these book challenges, we invite you to pray for Pentecost 2025 (see below). We will keep this list in our current prayer focus on a weekly basis! Watch for a new page here called "Grounded and Growing Vertically 2025"

Prayer Blanket Ministry

This is a new ministry operated by UCC Prayer Ministries. We invite you to create prayer blankets to give out to people you are praying for. UCC Prayer Ministries is accepting applications for up to 15 churches to receive funds to begin this ministry.

Here are tutorials for both making them and how to give them at a personal prayer session.

Praying Wednesday to Wednesday

Praying Together, January 15, 2025 

• Pray for the pastor and congregation of these three churches: Grandview, Proser, and Sunnyside Spanish churches. 
• Pray for each leader in UCC that God will give wisdom to all administrators, directors, pastors, teachers, Bible workers, etc. 
• Pray for the community leaders in these towns in Spokane County. Deer Park, Millwood, Fairfield, Rockford, Spangle, Latah, and Waverly. 
• Pray for the Students and teachers at Walla Walla Valley Academy and Rogers Elementary schools. For Jill Mackenzie, teacher/principal, Ashley Mayberry, Zeb Meharry, Sophie Naden-Johns, Zach Roberts, Carole Schafer, Tricia Stone Lofthouse, and Francely Zurita Ruvalcaba. 
• Pray for the city leaders in Umatilla County, Oregon. For each mayor, sheriff, police chief, fire chief, city council member in Hermiston, Pendleton, Milton-Freewater, Umatilla, Stanfield, Pilot Rock, Athena, Echo, Weston, Adams, Ukiah, and Helix. 
• Pray for Lisa Mandigo, prayer ministries coordinator for Spirit Lake Adventist Church. 
• Pray this promise for you and your household: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16. 
• Pray for Selah SDA Church to have a prayer ministry coordinator. 
• Pray for Pastor Miguel Patino Hernandez and the members of Chewelah and Spokane Northview Adventist churches. 
• Pray for Ezequiel Peralta Carrales, pastor of Yakima New Faith and Yakima Three Angels Spanish churches and all of the members. 
• Pray for Pentecost 2025, for the Outpouring of the Holy Spirit on our communities.

Praying Together, January 8, 2025 

• Pray for the pastor and congregation of these three churches: Grandview, Proser, and Sunnyside Spanish churches.

• Pray for the Students and teachers at Walla Walla Valley Academy and Rogers Elementary schools. Pray for Carol Cosaert, Daphne Duncan, Tifany Hager, Joey Inman, Ronn Kakazu, Michael Kearbey, Christie Lang, and Cynthia Libby. 
• Pray for Pentecost 2025, for each proclamation event and that God will send His Holy Spirit in our communities. May we pray this daily. 
• Pray for these cities in UCC in Morrow County, Oregon: Boardman, Irrigon, Heppner, Ione, and Lexington, and for each city leader (mayor, sheriff, police chief, fire chief, etc.) that God will give them His wisdom. 
• Pray for a prayer leader for Spokane Countryside and Spokane Central Adventist churches, that God will raise up a spiritual prayer leader for these congregations. 
• Pray for Pastor Jefferson Ortiz and the members of these churches: Hermiston and Pendleton Spanish Adventist churches, and the Rekindle Adventist Group in Hermiston. 
• Pray for our UCC administrators and directors as well as all pastors, teachers and workers that God will grow our faith! 
• Pray this promise becomes true in your life:  "For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith" 1 John 5:4.
