Pastor Eric Brown was voted to serve as the new Ministerial Director for UCC at the December 5, 2019 Conference Executive Committee. His areas of responsibility will also include Family and Men's Ministries.
The Conference Executive Committee voted on December 5 to invite Eric Brown to serve as the new Ministerial Director for the Upper Columbia Conference. The areas of responsibility will also cover Family and Men's Ministries.
"Pastor Eric Brown has been known as a pastor's pastor in Upper Columbia," says Minner Labrador, Jr. president of UCC, "His ministry experience will help pastors and interns safely navigate continuing education, church growth, and ministry needs. Pastors, elders, and leaders will greatly benefit from his new assignment and ministry. We are glad for his response to this call."
Pastor Brown has been serving in the Coeur d'Alene Seventh-day Adventist Church as lead pastor since 2013. He received his Master of Divinity from Andrews University in 1998 and graduated from Walla Walla University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Business Administration in 1994.
Pastor Brown's education and life joy have been to focus on church growth, church planting, and family ministries. During his 25 years in the pastoral role, he has coordinated evangelism in North America and overseas, managed and trained multiple pastoral staff teams, coached pastors and lay leaders in areas of professional development and church growth through the Natural Church Development Coaching program and mentored eight interns in ministry.
Prior to pastoring in Coeur d'Alene, he served as a pastor in Southeastern California and Idaho Conferences.
"I have been honored to be a member of such a great pastoral team," says Brown, "And I look forward to doing what I can to hold up their hands as we build strong ministries to our churches and the families within them."
Eric and Robin Brown have two children, Aaron is currently a freshman at Walla Walla University and Alyssa is a sophomore at Upper Columbia Academy.
