Mark Weir has accepted a call to serve as the vice president for administration and education for the Dakota Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.
Elder Mark Weir, who has been serving as the director for ministerial and evangelism for Upper Columbia Conference, was invited to serve as the vice president for administration and education for the Dakota Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Mark and Judy have accepted this call and will be serving there beginning in early November.
Mark began working in UCC as the associate pastor of Spokane Valley Adventist Church in 2010 and soon became the senior pastor. In 2015 he was called to be the UCC ministerial director.
Mark says, "It has been a joy to work in UCC with the incredible people. First, a fantastic church family welcomed us, worked together to accomplish significant goals. Second, the interaction with our pastors. These are dedicated men and women that I appreciate so much."
Mark and Judy will be missed by many in their local church and conference. "Marks service in the Upper Columbia Conference has been meaningful to many of our pastors, staff and administration," says Minner Labrador Jr, president of UCC. "As he prepares for this next chapter in ministry, our prayers will go with Mark and Judy that the Lord's blessings will continue as they serve God's people in the Dakotas."
As Mark says goodbye to his friends and colleagues, he would like to challenge all to keep seeking Jesus, and to reflect the character and methodology of Christ.
