SPOKANE, Wash., May 18, 2016 - Pastor Jeff Wines has accepted a new role within Upper Columbia Conference (UCC) as the conference youth director which includes serving as Camp MiVoden director. The conference personnel committee extended a call to Jeff Monday, May 16, 2016.

“We are pleased Jeff is willing to minister in an expanded capacity to young people and families all across our conference,” said Paul Hoover, UCC president. “Jeff has an incredible heart and passion for kids and has demonstrated that in what he has done with our Pathfinders and Adventurers so far.”

Jeff has been serving as conference Pathfinder, Adventurer and family life director. Even though he is transitioning to a new role, he says, “I look forward to continued engagement with our Pathfinders and Adventurers in our conference.”

He’s not new to youth ministry. Jeff brings experience to the position in youth ministry and Pathfinders and Adventurers and has served six years as camp director for the North Star Summer Camp in Minnesota.

Upper Columbia Conference is beginning to actively seek a replacement to fill the vacancy now open in Pathfinders and Adventurers and Family Life. It is vital to provide strong leadership for these important ministries.

“Youth ministry in all its forms is about bringing young people to Jesus,” said Jeff, “letting Him change them, then encouraging each young person to go out and change the world for Him.”
