Milton, Ore., August 1, 2012-
Under the direction of Pastor George Chambers, Milton-Stateline Adventist School (MSAS) was founded in 1962. The Stateline and Milton churches were bursting with children and he had a vision to build a larger school and combine all the children. It wasn’t easy at first; many decisions needed to be considered. God led in so many ways in the building of Milton-Stateline Adventist School.
On Sept. 22, 2012, MSAS will celebrate 50 years of education at its current site on Crockett Road in Milton-Freewater, Ore. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. and a Sabbath School will begin at 9:45 with a mission’s presentation given by former staff members Beverly and David Waid. Church will begin at 10:45 with a roll call of alumni and former staff members followed by church.
A potluck hosted by the MSAS Home and School will be held followed by an open house walk-through of the school and classrooms. An afternoon program of music and sharing will start about 3:45 p.m. The day’s festivities will conclude around 5:30 p.m.
It is our hope that alumni and former staff members will be able to attend this celebration. Alumni who are interested may join in singing with the school choir during church and we also invite any who are interested to share their talents in music during the afternoon program. Former band members are invited to play during the congregational singing during the church service.
